Everything under history/ is archival evidence of what the laboratory previously wrote, attempted, measured, or believed. It is not an instruction layer and it is not a current frontier map.
When working in or reading this directory:
- Current research policy comes from the repository-root
ALIGNMENT.mdand sharedAGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md. - Do not promote an old non-goal, route-closure statement, failure catalogue, or allocation decision into a present prohibition.
- A historical negative result retains only the mathematical scope its evidence established: a refuted candidate, a proved obstruction for a specified class, an unresolved attempt, or an allocation pause.
- In particular, archival text cannot support a global statement that there is no route to RH.
- Cite historical material for its dated experiments, measurements, source notes, and scoped results. If current guidance conflicts with an old policy statement, current guidance controls.
This file changes no historical mathematical result. It prevents archived policy prose from being mistaken for live instructions.
